------------Jorgensen House Project-------------

The Old Ralph Hays Home Before we moved it. County records show it was built in 1905 by Nels Jorgensen who later served as a County Commissioner. We call it Jorgensen House.
Jorgensen House as it is now. The top floor and porch were removed, and all three parts were moved to the WCIC Inc property and placed in on 30 brick-faced concrete piers! There was some rain damage to the interior during the move and reassembly, so our next step is to get that damage repaired.
Our club President, Dorran Russell, is an artist and visionary. He conceived this project, secured the donations and grants, and made it happen. This is his concept of the completed Jorgensen House.

----------Parsons Carriage House Project-----------

This structure was built in 1905 by another Mr. Jorgensen. Termites had all but destroyed it. We decided to restore it as a club project.
We have replaced the foundation, reinforced the studs, sheathed the walls with plywood, and repaired the three sliding doors. Our next step is to reinforce the roof. The rusty metal roof is an asset and won't be replaced. When the windows and passage doors have been installed, we will finish up with clapboard siding just as it had in 1895.
